Live Color Creation Technology with WCG-CCFL Backlight

Live Color Creation technology works with the BRAVIA XBR9-Series’ WCG-CCFL (Wide Color Gamut–Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) backlight to achieve wider color reproduction for more natural and vibrant colors. The technology combines advanced chroma signal processing with enhanced filters and purer light to reproduce 105 percent of the NTSC (National Television System Committee) color standard. This means deeper reds and greens with overall color that’s truer and more life-like.

What Size HDTV is right for my room?

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

Sony Bravia L-Series KDL-26L5000 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV has several great features such as:

26-inch flatscreen, 16:9 Full HD 720p Resolution Panel (1366×768) Advanced Contrast Enhancer with Dynamic Backlight Control, Dynamic Backlight Control creates a dynamic contrast ratio of 13,000:1 by adjusting the brightness of the backlight in real time, which optimizes contrast and reduces power consumption by up to 50 percent Three HDMI inputs (up to 1080/60p input capable) , two Component YPbPr (1080/60i capable), and one PC input (HD-15 pin) BRAVIA Link modules, such as BRAVIA DVD Link, BRAVIA Wireless Link, and BRAVIA Input Link (sold separately) BRAVIA Sync with one-touch access and control of all compatible home theatre devices, Sony Handycam camcorders, from HDTV remote via HDMI connector

Sony KDL-26L5000 HDTV is a friendly user product. It is very easy to setup and if you wall mount it, the entire installation will just take a few minutes. It has a crisp, clear picture, and the sound quality is good (it will be better if you out source to external 5.1 speakers). On my opinion this HDTV is worth the money and I highly recommend it. The 52-Inch 1080p Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR4 is the ultimate LCD HDTV. If you want the best picture, this LCD HDTV is the one to get. Yes, the Sony KDL-52XBR4 is more expensive than other brands, but you get what you pay for. The Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 is the Mercedes of LCD HDTVs.

The Motion Flow 120hz refresh rate helps smooth out sports games and action scenes that has been plaguing LCD TVs with their ghosting effect. Although it’s not a significant difference over previous models, it’s there and it’s working. Every little bit of help is welcomed. If there any blurring, it’s usually a source problem like watching low quality video.

Watching HD content on the 52-Inch Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV is simply amazing. Colors are true and stand out like no TV has ever done. Everything looks 3D and pops out like you’re looking through a window. Is this even possible without 3D glasses? Side by side with any LCD HDTV out there, the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 takes the cake. The only other LCD HDTV that comes close is the Samsung LNT5271F 52? 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

The Samsung does have better blacks, but you can’t even tell. Samsung’s screen is a little reflective to give the picture a look of higher contrast, but the reflection can be annoying especially in a well lit room. The screen on the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV has no glare at all and works well in a bright room. The backlight adjusts itself accordingly when in bright or dark rooms. The screen does not distract at all and will constantly amaze your family and friends with its awesome picture.

Once you receive the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV, you should turn off the “vivid” setting and switch to something more comfortable to the eyes especially if you’re watching in standard definition. SD quality video will look bad if you don’t. You should also change the screen from “full” to “wide full” when watching SD to give SD content the best display possible. This will fill up the screen instead of having some blank areas on the left and right of the TV.

DVD’s also look good and sometimes even blu-ray-ish. That’s how good this TV is. The best way to watch movies of course is with a Blu-Ray movie. You can’t buy an HDTV like this and not get a Blu-Ray player or a Playstation 3 (comes with Blu-Ray). If your budget doesn’t allow you to get one yet, DVD is still outstanding with this TV, but you should get Blu-Ray eventually.

If you’re not planning to get a home theater sound system just yet, the built-in sound of the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV is good enough. It’s better than most LCD TVs out there.

To go along with the beautiful picture that the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV is capable of producing, the unit itself is beautiful with the floating glass frame. You can also change the bezel to a color that matches your home more if you want to. If you like the piano black finish of the V3000 or XBR3, you can buy the XBR5 model which exactly the same set as the XBR4 except for the piano black finish.

If you want the best looking set out there and price doesn’t matter, the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV is the one to buy. You won’t regret it because this is as good as it gets for now. Amazon has the best prices around and if they lower the price in 30 days after your purchase, you can contact them and they’ll refund the difference. The Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 1080p LCD HDTV is pricey, but that’s because the quality is incomparable.

The KDL52XBR9 HDTV is the latest entrant to Sony’s new top of the line televisions with the LCD technology. Designed perfectly, a dark silver border elegantly compliments its black thin frame. Sony has wrapped up the visible speakers that were seen on the XBR6s to come up with a thinner frame that’s uniform on all sides. The Sony 52 BRAVIA XBR LCD HDTV has sufficient ports on the side panel enabling you to swap gears in and out of the TV. Not all that easy as it sounds, the HDMI inputs on the side make it difficult to conceal wiring but not a big problem though.

Built on the standard cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlight, don’t expect LED brightness from the Sony KDL52XBR9 HDTV. However, a wider color gamut on that backlight will have no effect on color accuracy. Like any good flagship TV, the Sony 52 BRAVIA XBR LCD HDTV has 16:9 full HD 1080p resolution panel and Motionflow 240HZ technology. Just engage the Dejudder Processing Technology and you are all set to watch fast-action pictures in their true clarity. The BRAVIA Engine 3 Video Processing adds quality to the viewing.

The versatile KDL52XBR9 LCD HDTV can be used as a TV or a computer display. Other advancement on this 52-inch LCD TV is the integration of BRAVIA Internet widget inside the TV cabinet. In addition to the widgets, enjoy Amazon Video On Demand through the built-in BRAVIA Internet Video Link. What more can you ask for.

With a solid picture quality that is second to none, the Sony 52 BRAVIA XBR LCD HDTV stands out amongst others, but the price will turn off most buyers.
